Our Design Process.

As a full-service design studio, we work with you from start to finish to achieve a truly unique outcome tailored to your specific needs and requirements. Whilst each project is unique, our design process is tried and tested to ensure the best result each and every time.

Getting to know each other.

Before we even begin the creative process it is important for us to get to know each other. We will come to your home so we can talk about the way you live, who you share your home with, what you like and don’t like about your house – what works and what doesn’t. We will chat about design styles, what you are drawn to – if you don’t know, don’t worry, it is our job to help you discover a style for your home that is uniquely yours.

We will then get you to show us around your home, we can look at the furnishings you would like to keep and what you would like to replace.

This first step helps us to understand the way you live and how we can create a home that not only looks beautiful but is comfortable, relaxed, and will function well for you, your family, and your lifestyle.

Establishing the project brief.

We are sure you will have a long list of things you would like to chat to us about and what you would like us to do for you. The more information you can give us from the outset the better. So jot anything down you think of before we meet so we can establish exactly how we can help you.

We also have a checklist of questions that we bring along, so don’t worry too much if you are not sure of everything you need to share. Between us, we will establish the project brief so we are both on the same page.

Working within your budget and timeframe.

We are very open-minded about budgets and understand initially it can be tricky to establish, but it is important for us to know what you would like to invest in your home and your expected outcome.

If you don’t know where to start, we can guide you through this process. We are very pragmatic and will give you an insight into where to invest and where you can save.

We will chat in detail about your timeframe and expectations. You may have a special event you would like your house to be ready for or you may prefer to take things slowly and work in stages. Whatever you need we will put together a schedule of key dates so you can feel confident that we are on track moving forward.

Next steps in the creative process.

We will prepare a quotation that outlines our understanding of the scope of work and associated design and implementation fees. Once you have had a chance to review this and we have your approval to proceed we will get together to begin the next step in the creative process.

First things first we need to take lots of photos and measurements. We will then go away and begin the creative process and the next time we meet we will show you the initial concepts for your home and share all our ideas with you.

Putting on our work boots on to bring the concept to life.

The rest of the design process really depends on which service you have engaged us to work on with you – we can chat more about this when we meet.

Whatever we are working on together you can be assured that we will have a lot of fun along the way. We will be dedicated to you one-on-one throughout the project to completion.

We absolutely love what we do, every part of it, and weI hope you will love your home just as much when we have finished.

Studio hours

We are in the studio with coffee in hand from 8.30 am (if we are not out on-site) and finish for the day at 5.00 pm Tuesday to Friday.

If your schedule is outside of these hours we can chat about this when we meet so we can work around your particular situation.

Christmas is when our industry and many others, take a break. The studio closes from mid-December to mid-January. We head to the countryside with our families and re-charge for another amazing year ahead.
