Terri and her family had spent several years living and working overseas and approached me to work alongside their builder to complete the renovation and furnishing of their three-story house in Kalinga so they could finally call Brisbane home again.
The initial phase of the project was spent via zoom and email to establish the overall scope of the project, until we finally met Terri and her family in person to present, what Terri said, “was nothing she could have ever imagined”.
Despite COVID, breaking my ankle on the final day of installation, and a bajillion delays with deliveries and lock-downs, it didn’t stop the successful outcome of this beautiful home. I feel very blessed to have worked with a brilliant build team, a very trusting and understanding client, and my gorgeous design team who literally carried me on the last day to hand-over.
The scope of work included the selection of all the interior finishes including kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry as well as the selection of new furnishings throughout, custom window and soft furnishings, joinery design, and styling.

Thistle Flowers were commissioned to create fabulous dried flower garlands to feature throughout the house.
Artwork by the uber-talented Carla Coulson ‘Fiercely Feminine’.
We created a library with custom joinery for all Terri’s keepsakes with a dividing door to a casual seating area to watch TV.
The house backs onto Kalinga park, home to a koala, so Australian artist Carla Fletcher ‘The Alchemist’ was the perfect choice for a super-sized print to sit in the dining area overlooking the parkland.
Terri and Adam’s kids (all young adults) wanted their own look and feel for each of their bedrooms, so after a lot of fun catch-ups and lengthy discussions, we created spaces they could enjoy and were uniquely theirs.
Terri and Adam’s bedroom was a relaxing retreat from a very busy and fun household.
