Sam and Darren had built their house 13 years ago and felt it was in need of a refresh. Having seen the work we did on their family friend’s home (Koala in Kalinga) they were keen to see what we could do with their house.
The brief was modern, light and bright to reflect the architecture of the house in a clean and contemporary style and give a fresh look and feel to each of the spaces.
The scope of work included kitchen layout and design including the creation of a butlers pantry (utilising the unused wardrobe from the adjoining guest bedroom), the selection of all the interior finishes as well as furnishing the dining and two living areas, outdoor area and Sam and Darren’s bedroom (photos to come).

We selected the dining table from Brisbane-based furniture designer and maker Makimaki. The table is handcrafted from solid American oak and was the perfect piece to sit in the family dining room.
