Anita engaged me to refurbish her riverfront apartment in South Brisbane. We called the project the ‘reimagining’ as Anita wanted each room to be reimagined to reflect her feminine and eclectic style whilst incorporating some of the treasured pieces she and her late husband had collected together. Key to the design was their amazing art collection which I featured in each of the rooms.
The biggest challenge throughout the project was the looming deadline of the lifts being ‘out of action’ for 2 weeks! Anita was on the eleventh floor so the timing was critical. I can happily say we met the deadline with the help of the amazing building managers who were very understanding and helpful throughout the project.
Re-design and update kitchen using the existing footprint. Re-paint throughout. Update lounge, dining, study, verandah and master bedroom. Furnishing and styling throughout incorporating existing mini-grand piano, dining and coffee table and other sentimental pieces.

On a recent visit to drop off some extra outdoor cushions, I walked into the apartment and nothing had changed – Anita said: “Sarah it is perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing” – I was pretty chuffed hearing that, to say the least.
At every stage, Sarah surprised me with her attention to detail, product knowledge and 'can do' attitude. Budgets were carefully adhered to and tight deadlines cleverly met. Any problems or issues were quickly addressed and resolved. The tradespeople she used were fantastic.
